I don't sell on Etsy yet, but had planned to soon. I have a stack of children's aprons cut out in my studio that now may end up being quilt blocks! I also own a small shop and am a founder and director of a women's entrepreneurial group, Women Take Wing!. On my groups behalf and on behalf of all small businesses I sent an email to Lou Dobbs yesterday about the CPSIA and asked him to please consider giving the issue some air time. I received a short email back asking for readers and members to please leave comments on a blog post we did. We hope that Mr. Dobbs or one of his staff members may visit early next week to read these comments. If you like to contribute a comment it would be great! Thank you! It would be so great if Lou Dobbs talked about this on his show. It's just been so hard to get any coverage, and so many are still totally unaware of this.

To answer HulaMoon's question, I did receive the standard auto-reply, and then a very short "Thank you. We will be visiting your blog and will be interested in reading comments..." message. Enough of a response to fan my tired spirits. :) I have to think they have received quite a number of emails regarding CPSIA, so perhaps, just maybe, a few more emails will do the trick.

Thank you for all the great, thoughtful and passionate comments. I'll be recharging my batteries today, and then will be starting a new round of phone calls, letters and emails tomorrow. A burr under the saddle blanket I will be. Keep your spirits up!
