Sen. DeMint is proposing his bill to modify CPSIA on the floor of the Senate tomorrow, Tuesday. He needs your support to get your Senators' support. His aide has asked that you do what is specified in the following thread (first post)

The fight may all come down to this. If this does not get accepted, it seems unlikely that any other attempts will be made.

Yeah I already have . he is my senator and although I don't agree with his politics in general, I did write and thank him for his support on this problem

They wouldn't even transfer me because it was so busy! I'm guessing it's a combo of this CPSIA stuff and the pork-barrel "stimulus" bill that are burning up the lines!

Hi, I tried to contact Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein at their DC offices and the lines were busy or their mailboxes were full (probably USPIRG people demanding the law go forward :( ). I called Boxer's LA office and had to explain the law to the nice young man who answered the phone, he had apparently never heard of CPSIA! He has now LOL.
I will find D. Feinstein's LA office and contact them also.

I made my calls to Senators Sessions and Shelby a few minutes ago:)

I talked to REAL people too! They were actually VERY nice. I guess they practice Sounthern Hospitality too;)

I just talked to someone in Senator Lugar's office & left a message for Sen. Bayh. His voicemail said their office hours were until 6pm!
