Would you help if......??

Let me ask a Hypothetical question.

If an Etsy toy seller did get hauled off to jail for still selling children/baby stuff, and of course the items are lead free.
Would any of you be willing to send money to help with their fines and lawyer fees?
I'm asking because I would help out as much as I could.
I figure with as many people posting about this law, if everyone banded together and sent $5-$20 dollars each it would help that person out tremendously.
I was just wondering if you guys would do that?

I am seriously thinking about putting X amount of money up from each sell in case this happens.

yes I would help...I'm a little afraid to keep selling after the 10th so I'm not going to keep selling. I know I could not pay heavy fines. I'm hoping things change before the 10th of course but if they change after I will start selling again

I would definitely help out as much as I could. Im hoping that it doesn't ever come to that. From what Ive heard they really want to target the big companies who purposely put lead in their items in order to cut costs.

But really the goverment can't even get Child Protection in working condition, I think this crap will so all go away.. The will have to change this stupid stupid law

Ditto Southernlace, They don't have the manpower to monitor the vast amount of thrift stores, online sales,flea markets, antique dealers, that they would have to.

Look at all the banned items they sell at flea markets now.

They will have to modify this law somehow.It's just not feasible.
