What is MSDS and GCC

What do the acronyms stand for? I know they are forms, but who provides them? Sorry, I'm confused. . .

MSDS - Material Safety Data Sheet (contains product info including hazadous components, safety requirements, any require personal protective equipment, what to do if..., etc). It is usually the repsonsibility of the supplier or manufacturer to provide them (I used to work for an oilfield chemical manf - all our raw materials & finished goods had to have them). Even any cleaners, etc (i.e. WD-40) had to have them because of safety requirements for our plant.

General Conformity Certificate - what you need to provide to satisfy the CPSIA - where you state all the applicable regulations covering your product and your conformity with them

GCC is the General Conformity Certificate that goes with testing your finished product under the CPSIA.

General Conformity Certificates are provided by the manufacturer of an item (so, YOU provide them for the items you manufacture). Here is some into on them:
