I accidentally posted this on "site help" but intended it
for this section, so I'm trying again~
A thought came to me this morning after reading the post by curiousworkmanship; picture the U.S.without any handmade,children's items. A pretty bleak picture, isn't it? Perhaps we should create a "museum" so that today's children will know how life was for children in the "old days" when there was freedom to create and sell, safe, handmade items for children; items that were NOT mass produced~ This museum should have samples of all of our wonderful items for children- items that, unless somehow preserved are about to be forever lost. (So much for trying to keep the art of smocking alive.) This museum would be a "time capsule"- our contribution to the children of the U.S.-----
