Still wondering about FTC AND CPSIA labels??

If both tags say basically the same thing, can I put all of the info. on one tag?

The CPSIA labels have to includ:
My company's name
My contact info
Fiber content
Washing instructions
DOM
Batch #

FTC labels have to contain:
Fiber content
Washing instruction
Origin of materials

Am I right???

Can't I combine all of this on one tag??????

I just looked at my fabric source, and it doesn't say where the fabric comes from. It's Hancock's fleece. I assumed it was China or something, but I don't really know.

I didn't see toys on that list of things for the FTC tag. I make pet and children's toys. Does that mean I am free & clear and only have to cpsia label for my children's toys?

Since toys are neither listed as exempt or non-exempt the best thing to do is contact the FTC directly. The other thing you can do, while waiting for a reply, is to goto several different types of retailers that carry toys made out of fabric to see what their products have on them and take notes. By different types of retailers I'm talking about would be places like a chain toy store, an upscale boutique toy store, an educational store, a baby equipment store, a both a large chain and homegrown pet stores, and a big box store with a toy and pet departments. Keep in mind some of these children's toys may of been made prior to 8-14-09 and may not have the CPSIA tags but you can still get a reasonable idea of what other types of tags maybe needed.
From just looking at some of the animal toys we have and the collectable plush we have around the house there seems most but not all that have a care and content label, while a few just have a brand label with country of origin and colectible production code like #632 of 1,500.
