Does anyone know if it's ok to have snaps on baby bibs? I am hesitant to put snaps on bibs, currently using velcro. I have seen other shops with snaps on their bibs but didn't know if it falls under CPSIA rules and regulations. The velcro just doesn't hold together as well. Would you buy a bib with a snap?

Re: Snaps on baby bibs????

I love snaps on bibs and I think they are really good. I have tried using them for how many months, especially when my toddler drools a lot, but I refuse to use them at mealtime because my toddler doesn't like to wear that bib when she's eating.

Re: Snaps on baby bibs????

Velcro is generally exempt because of fiber content, as it's usually 100% nylon. Snaps can be used as long as they have been tested for lead. Babyville snaps have been and you can obtain their certs online. Kamsnaps.com sends their snaps to be test and are compliant. Bibs are considered wearing apparel and do require care tags. However, non-clothing items do not require care tags.
