Small Parts Testing

For anyone who is currently testing for small parts... have you found anyone to conduct the testing that you'd recommend or is reasonably priced?

Thanks!

Re: Small Parts Testing

It is my understanding that for the 3rd party small parts testing you need to go through an accredited lab. There is a list on the CPSC website of accredited labs.

Re: Small Parts Testing

Thanks BuggaLove. I have actually seen the list but I was just hoping for some feedback from someone who has actually used one of the companies. But maybe I'll just start contacting the companies on the list and ask for quotes.

Thanks!

Re: Small Parts Testing

I don't believe that there is any requirement to have small parts tested by an outsite lab. You can go to the cpsc website and search for small parts and you can find all the info you need as to diameter, length, etc. I also believe you can buy a small parts tester. It is not a brain drain test, if the part can be detached thru normal wear and tear of the under 3yr old or it is a seperate piece that they can get into their mouth, and it will fit into the tube (which is the size of their throat) then it is too small.

What are you making?
