Screenprinting, Gocco & CPSIA

Anyone know what is in the gocco fabric inks? Not only is most everything about them written in Japanese, but the company has stopped making it, so chances of certification and testing are probably nil.

It is labeled with all kinds of 'do not eat' statements, but what about after it is on fabric?

Thoughts from clothing screenprinters in general?

I have wondered this myself...

I know the lightbulbs are marked hazardous and likely contain lead (they smell kind of scary when you use them). Don't know about the inks. The glittery finish stuff may be not ok.

Have they really stopped making Gocco supplies now? I hardly used mine, that's such a shame!

Re: Screenprinting, Gocco & CPSIA

In all my entousiasm, I bought a huge box of paper inks from an online Japanese auction site. Fantastic colors, I may start selling them as supplies, maybe:)

Re: Screenprinting, Gocco & CPSIA

I researched this a little when I first started printing with the fabric inks and everything I found said that the inks were water based and non-toxic. I would assume this means they do not contain an unsafe amount of lead. But...I am curious if anyone else knows differently?
