Reseller's license?

I'm curious. I hold a reseller's license in my state, and there have been exceptions made for resale shops...why can't I be lumped in with resale shops?? Yes, I create bibs, etc. and would be considered a manufacturer. Seems to me there is a fine line there.

They specified resellers of USED items in the exemptions I have seen.

They exempting the selling of used items. Your resale license/ resale tax number, you use with wholesalers and when you purchase items for resale you are exempt from paying sales tax. So any used children's item you have for sale(unless there is a recall listed for it by CPSC) is exempt. As are items made before Feb. 10 or in your inventory.

Actually, they only exempted resellers from testing, they still have to meet the NEW lead and philite requirements or face the fines and jail time, since this is not possible the exemption meant nothing. Also it is now on Hold per Obama along with all new potential exemptions or changes to laws, they now will have to be reviewed.
