I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who is refusing to go down without a fight.

I myself have been contacting all sorts of people about this, and have been amazed that there are STILL boutiques and shops around here (Pittsburgh, PA) who had no idea what I was talking about.

I am not going to close up shop- that's for sure. I may have to take down my childrens line for now, until things are sorted out, but I am hoping it doesn't come to that. I am here for the long run though- y'all are stuck with me, and I hope I'm stuck with you, because I'm proud to be a part of a team that sticks together and refuses to just roll over.

I want to thank you too for not giving up actually. I do not sell children items myself, but we are trying to start a family. When I have my first wiggling baby, I want to be able to shop on Etsy. Homemade lasts longer then anything in the stores, and it's something I want my children to experience like I did as a child. Keep up the good work everyone!

I'm with ya too! I am currently doing everything within my power to help... being a mom myself, we aren't done makin babies and I really want to buy new baby stuff from Etsy sellers!

Aw, thank-you so much greytlife! I hope you have a grandgirl someday too! I'd LOVE to have my shop cleaned out!!!--(and besides, granddaughters are wonderful! Mine is 2 and I love her so much! I love her 1-year-old brother just as much,- but you can't put dresses on grandsons!)

I'm going to be waiting in the wings, ready to reopen my shop when this whole things blows over. I may be closing my shop temporarily come Feb. 10 if the law doesn't change, but I'm still fighting the good fight! In fact, I have an appointment tomorrow to meet with my congressman to discuss the CPSIA and the effects it will have on my business.

We are hoping it will be ammended as well! We've been getting the word out, e-mailing representatives, even talking to the ladies cutting our fabric. It is amazing that the girls at JoAnn's didn't know anything about it, either! Oh, our baby stuff is baby quilts in our sisterthreads shop.
