Questions about vintage

Vintage lovers,

how do you know what is really vintage, given that etsy has defined vintage as something that is more than 20 years old?


and do you only buy etsy-defined vintage (20 years and older) or would you buy vintage-looking (less than 20 years old) items?



i am asking because i have seen items which are less than 20 years old being called vintage in tags and titles.

i personally don't mind vintage-LOOKING things, but if etsy defines vintage as being more than 20 years old, i would think we should stick to the rules.

teaoclock, you posted this in a forum about a new law that is affecting a lot of sellers on Etsy so you most likely won't get the comments you are looking for :)
Etsy says vintage category items must be 20 years old or older, flag items that are tagged incorrectly.
