Question about soaps for children

Hello friends. I read through some of these threads and also some of the official CPSIA links, but am not exactly sure if the regulations cover soaps and such. The kiddie soaps on Etsy don't mention anything about testing either, which makes me think that it's exempt, but thought I'd check anyway. Thanks for your help!

I believe that regulations for soaps and the like for children would fall under the FDA. If you were to embed a small toy or novelty inside a soap then you would be responsible to the guidelines of CPSIA. If it is nothing but 100% soap, I do not believe you are effected.
