I was relating how the CPSIA was going to affect libraries and that pre-1985 children's books are curently destined to be removed from the shelves, when I was interrupted by a 6-year-old who had overheard me. His comment? "That should be illegal!"

This is so absurd.

How about worrying about hmmm say.. the fact our world is dependent on ultimately finite energy resources, and spending more time making sure our children have a world to live in and a future to look forward to, rather than hassling over old books...

Seriously they can't see the forest for the trees.

Bless their hearts! My favorite books of all time are the Ruth Chew witch series...none of these were published after the early 80's...this is horrible.
