Oregon/Washingon sellers wanting XRF testing

I have been in communication with a Portland area children's vendor who is trying to have a "lead testing" party in Portland (like the Denver one that TurtleParkTots posted). Here is the info I received from her:

Hi Julie,
Thanks for the email. I just got off the phone with Jennifer Taggert (thesmartmama.com) about having her come up for a lead party in Portland, most likely the first week in February. Not sure whether I am organizing this event (will if I need to) or if perhaps some others in Portland are already organizing, but I feel relatively confident that one will take place here.
Are you on Twitter? I am flybaby3219 and have some people following me there who have also expressed interest.

Will send you an update in a few days to let you know where I'm at on this. Please forward my email address to anyone you know might be interested in participating, since I'm definitely trying to guage interest.

Renee

If you are interested, convo me, post here or hook up with Renee on Twitter. Let's see how many of us we can get together!!!!

Hi, I'm in Portland...I don't make children's items but I work for a nonprofit, Trillium Artisans, and we have some artisans who make kids stuff, and we'd like to be involved! Thanks!

Trillium's shop: http://trilliumartisans.etsy.com

Do you know what the cost would be?

Re: Oregon/Washingon sellers wanting XRF testing

Well...that depends on how many people want to do it. If the woman from THESMARTMAMA decides to do it, I believe she charges $5 a component or $100/hour.

I've also seen rental prices for the XRF guns at about $1800 a week. If 18 people went in on it, it would be $100 each.

The more we have, the less it will cost. I think in a day or two we'll have more info. Renee is just trying to find out how many are interested at this point.
