I am thinking of adding some large buttons to some of my hats (going to make some adult-sized hats). Since the hats that will be adorned with buttons are meant for people over 12 years of age, am I right in thinking that the buttons (stone or treated wood) would not require testing under CPSIA?
Anybody know how a wooden button needs to be treated if it is to withstand hand-washing? I've seen some I like that have been treated with "tung oil" (if I remember correctly). Would these be considered washable?
TIA
