Hey! Once again, I find myself turning to the very knowledgeable crew of Etsy folks to answer a questions for me.
I've read through the forums a few times about CPSIA and FTC labeling, but I'm starting to feel a little insecure about my conclusions. I'd love to have someone tell me if I'm understanding this right.
I think the CPSIA requirements apply to children's products only. Since I make purses that are clearly not marketed towards little hands, I don't think I have to worry about the CPSIA.
Then, I wandered over to the FTC's website to check things out there. I think, though, that handbags are exempted from their requirements. So I haven't been making any care labels for my bags.
Does this sound right to you guys? I want to make sure I'm doing everything that I need to do so I'm not one of those innocent offenders who are blundering along in non-compliance.
