Labeling Wool from secondhand material

Do you work with secondhand material? How do you label your work?

I create many different types of accessories and wearables from old wool sweaters. I do not specifically make anything for children.

I would like to label my work because I know many people have problems with wool and also to comply with the FTC.


I was thinking of the following

Feltwerker.com
secondhand material
from wool sweaters
fiber content and country of origin unknown
Hand wash, cool water, lay flat to dry

I do not think that I could keep track of each sweater that I use; I use up each sweater in a multitude of ways and create tons of scraps. Most of my creations contain wool from more than one sweater.

Does the FTC label info have to be on the front of the label? I would prefer to have my info on one side and the fiber and care info on the other?

I look forward to hearing what others have to say about this. I use second hand wool for many things I make for my own son and would love to extend these items into my shop. I have avoided doing so thus far though as I was unsure how to also remain compliant with CPSIA
