Just want to share my CPSIA handmade label instructions

I've been looking at several methods to create my own CPSIA tracking labels. I found most of the helpful info here in these forums and I've tweaked some of the ideas to create a very easy printable label, which I can sew into the seam of my stuffed toys. Just print, cut and sew them in. I've posted full instructions here http://sockmonkey.shopping.officelive.com/labels.aspx and I've also included a template for the labels to make it easier. These are 100% cotton labels printed with ink jet (CMYK) ink printer, so they are CPSIA compliant, no lead or pthalates are in them, so no need to have them tested.

As for the fraying edges, I haven't had that happen (so far) on the printable fabric I use, but I also printed some twill tape using sublimation-this is only for adult items because I don't know if that is CPSIA approved-I just used a little bit of FrayCheck on the edges and it worked great. I don't know if that's ok or not on the childrens items.

When I have used printable fabric in the past, I was just sewing in a little square label and the corners would be itchy, so I had to round them with tiny scissors. This is very tedious. But the foldable label is great and eliminates this problem. Thanks for the tutorial OP!
