Re: Is anything exempt from phthalate testing???

Phthalate testing is linked to the items function. Items used for sleeping, feeding, sucking or teething (i.e. blankets, bibs, teething toys, etc.) must be tested for phthalates regardless if they are exempt from lead testing. General apparel does not need to be pthalate tested (except... and correct me if I'm wrong, if it has a plasticized screenprint or other decoration).

Re: Is anything exempt from phthalate testing???

OK, thanks...so my hair clips and shirts are OK r: phthalate testing but everything needs labeling and lead testing unless the item (fabric, etc.) falls under the lead testing exemption list....correct? does anyone know anything about FTC label requirments?
Thanks!!!

jennifermiller - that looks like general FTC labeling requirements. That's different from the CPSIA labeling requirements, right?
