Im confused about this

So can I not do design your own listings anymore with the CPSIA? (this is where the customer sends me their own materials to make the item)Since i wouldnt be providing the materials how would it make since that i would be getting fined if i am just charging a "sewing" fee? ive asked before but never got an answer so if anyone knows it would be appriciated:) Thanks!!

Re: Im confused about this

I believe since you are "manufacturing" the product, because you have indeed sewn the final product, are still required to test.

Define anymore? Feb 10 or Aug 14?

If you have a reasonable testing program in place by 2/10, yes, you can continue to do design your own listings if you're testing program covers your materials.

Aug 14? No, not as it stands now.

But there is great hope that fabrics, dyed even, will be exempt.
