Charlene, the first thing you need to do is read the CPSIA pinned thread above and follow the links You need to understand what is exempt from testing because it has been found to not contain lead. Those are acceptable materials to use without any testing. Then decide what other materials you use that could contain lead, phthlates and any other substances that are on the lists from not just the USA but Canada, UK and the EU, and Au. If you want to sell to other countries you need to follow all those rules or your products may be stopped at customs and destroyed. You have selling standards in the UK. Check those out first. Compliance is similar in all the countries, so if you comply with one like the UK rules, you are well on your way to be compliant with all.
