Have an idea - need help!

I saw the cutest thing while on vacation last week and thought I could easily make something like that! BUT of course that comes with questions regarding CPSIA!

I saw the cutest "decorated" onesies. What CPSIA, FTC, Flammability regulations apply to a onesie (purchased) that has tulle and a cotton fabric applique attached? What do I need to consider? How do I label?

Any guidance would be appreciated! TIA

It's really no different than making the items from scratch. You'll need any required certifications from the manufacturers of the supplies with the information on testing listed in the manner the government accepts or packaging (or a letter) vouching that their construction is of completely exempt materials, then ability to re-label the item with the information required by the CPSIA and the FTC.

Not really related to CPSIA and FTC, but if you are not using gerber products call them bodysuits not onesies.
