Hello all crafty and witty etsy members!
Three questions that I cannot find answers to on these forum threads:
1. If I am making little diaper shorts/bloomers out of 100% cotton (exempt from lead and phthalate testing) how do I prove that the fabric meets requirements under the flammability fabric act for "wearable apparel" (not children's sleepwear)? Fabric is purchased from Walmart and Fabric Mart in Hawaii.
2. I am also making changing pads with 100% cotton fabric (again exempt from lead and phthalate testing) and PUL from a company that provides a Certificate of Compliance. Does the end product (Cotton and PUL sewed together) need to be tested in order to be sold?
3. Do kimono baby shoes (made from fabric) fall under any of the regulations regarding FTC and CPSIA labeling and testing requirements or are shoes exempt?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice that is shared!
