CPSIA Idea Go to the New Administration Directly

Hello fellow Etsians. I found this on Current's website this morning and it gave me an idea. I guess President Elect Obama has set up an "open questions" website. It works like Digg or Current, where people can submit a question and then others vote it up. Once enough people vote it up, the transition team for the new administration answers them. I am not the best at writing, and I am not a toy maker, so I am not up on the ins and outs of your situation, but I thought this could be a way to get some answers and action. Hopefully someone who has the talents and the knowledge of the situation will post a question there, and then give us the link so we can all vote it up. Once the question is up, you can then tell everyone you know to go and vote it up, and that does not take a lot of time. Good luck and I hope this works for you all.

Thanks for helping me keep this up where people can see it you two. I think that MooreMagnets is on to something when you tie this to small business and the economy right now. Perhaps more people will then vote it up in that context.

I just posted a question on that site. You have to sign up to post a question or vote for a question. Just search CPSIA and it should come up. Vote for it then. They list the questions in order of popularity, so let's make this one VERY popular!

I can't get a direct link to the question, but go to http://change.gov/page/content/openforquestions and search for CPSIA. There you will find a question(s) to vote on. You have to sign up as monkeysprout said (thanks for writing the question!), and then you can vote on it. I don't know if you can vote more than once, but do it. Also, maybe post about this on your blog, Twittter, whatever is out there so we can make this big.

Can you post a link to the question? I signed in and searched but zero results came up for CPSIA and 92 results came up for Consumer Protection Act, but too much to wade through.

Apparently I'm even more technologically inept than I thought. I clicked on the link and got a prompt to install some file. I tried going directly to the website, but the same thing happened when I clicked on Open For Questions. What am I doing wrong?
