I know I'll be walking on thin ice since this is not my country, but since this regulation applies to us all online I thought I'll bring some ideas to the party:
Dumb laws are passed all over the world, I think no country is an exception to this, so, in Mexico, we have an additional law called "Ley de Amparo" (literally translated as "Shelter Law"). The objective of this law is to protect people from dumb laws, and if anyone thinks that the new law they're applying on him is unfair, then the affected person starts a "Shelter Trial", if the judge rules on his favor then the dumb law doesn't apply to this person (it still applies to everyone else who didn't start a shelter trial).
Isn't anything similar over there?
I'm aware that most people don't have the resources to go to court in case there is something similar, I'm just brainstorming :$
