Are there Zipper Manufacturers that have tested/met CPSIA standards?

Wondering if anyone knows of or uses zippers that are made by a company that has complied with CPSIA standards.

I am using all natural fabrics, but for certain items need to use a zipper or snaps and would like to get them from a company that has tested and documented its products to comply with CPSIA.

Any information out that would be welcomed!

In the CPSIA thread "PROPOSED FINAL RULE...", page 4, post by thecostumebootique she said, "At this point I know my zippers pass because YKK tests their zippers and I had them tested with an XRF gun and they com in under 300ppm."

I order my zippers from a place in New York, and have asked him to send me documentation that his zippers are safe. This is needed just for me to replace a zipper in a childs jacket. I called the CPSC and talked to a woman to find out about alterations and repairs. That is what I do from my home and with school coming up, it is a big part of my income. She told me that I can alter clothes and hem them without a problem. There is no making of clothes or doll things even if the customer brings me what they want done--materials and patterns. That is a cut in my income by itself. When I hear back from the zipper man, I will and get ahold of you--SewnNatural.

i contacted ykk last year, they certify their zippers lead free.

Don't forget that you will need the ACTUAL
test results....not just their assurance that their items are lead free....

That's what is so frustrating...I have had a few ribbon company's "assure" me that their ribbon is compliant as well but they can't provide me with any tet results....

ykk is the brand of zippers.

marking means that you have posted in the thread and can find it again in your forum threads.

For those of you that have correspondence from YKK, would you be willing to post a link to their certification? I have been unsuccessful at getting anything in writing from them.

On the cpsia-compliance website YKK is NOT asterick'd to indicate compliance.

I have a zipper question...if I may.
I acquired a box of a TON of sewing supplies. All still in the wrappers...from the late 60's and early 70's. There were a bunch of zippers in there. Is there a YEAR that we are kind of "grandfathered" in with them to sell them...or do I just pull them out of inventory?

Per my understanding, As long as you're not selling something that is targeted to those 12 and under anything goes.

If you're selling as a supply, just be clear in your listing that CPSIA compliance is unknown.
