That was a good article. I have been following some of the problems with these chemicals for a while now...not because I make childrens' things, but just as a general concern. I talked about phthalates a little bit in one of my blogs:

Phthalates are one of many things to avoid when possible...though it isn't really likely that we can avoid them altogether.
I did wonder about the guy who made telescopes for kids. Instead of testing it, why not make a telescope without the offending chemical? Wouldn't that cost a LOT less? Just curious.
