Re: Introductions

Hello, and thank you for the invite. My name is Sarah Marie. I am not much of a crafter-my expertise lies in writing about all things from men with wings to men who wish they were that interesting. I enjoy the diversity of etsy-saying that, I am amazed by the diversity within its fantasy and enchanted side. I enjoy looking through most shops that involve fantasy, and I am looking forward to seeing what shops this team brings in.

Re: Introductions

Hi, I'm Carol, Earth faerie and Goddess lover. I'm closer to animals than people, and much of my artwork incorperates them because I believe they have alot to teach us. It's very important to me to be a nurturer in any way I see, our planet and it's dwellers have been under siege for too long and I work for the healing, balance, ending suffering, for peace and understanding.(sounds like I'm making a speech for a beauty pageant, Ha!
Seriously though I try to keep a small footprint and give more than I take. Some of my earnings go to animal rescue.. I hope you enjoy browsing all 4 of my shops and look forward to seeing what we can do in this team! Thanks, Blessed Be

Re: Introductions

Hi Everyone. :)

I'm Melanie. I'm a fantasy artist and polymer clay sculptor from the lovely woodsy state of New Hampshire. I'm the artist and sole proprietor behind The Silver Branch, named after the mythical branch of celtic lore that the faeries gave to bards (some stories state it was given to a king) for otherworldly inspiration.

I'm also a published author, am working on a new fantasy (go figure) novel. I am owned by 12 amazing rescue parrots, I study and survey the local reptile and amphibian populations for the fish and game department's non-game program, like to play piano and I love to hike and go for nature walks.

Re: Introductions

My goodness you are all so clever. Thank you for the invite!! My Name is Pam and I love to give angel hugs. So Hugs to everyone. My shop here is Fluttering Wings. In this shop I attempt to sell creations made from naturally expired butterfly wings. I love all things natural and just adore the wee folk.

The inspiration for my work came during the winter months when a box of expired butterflies that I had collected called to me. During the summer season I have a butterfly farm sanctuary. We have worked for the past 11 years to clean up a very toxic property and turn it into a butterfly habitat. I raise butterflies for release and exhibit for education. I could not bear to THROW away my cherished friends that I picked up after they expired in the exhibit and they have blessed me with the ability to transform them one last time into forever works of art.

We have a 1 mile walk carved into the Labyrinth Shape. It's meant to be a meditation walk and it's planted with butterfly host and nectar plants. The money I make from my work goes to support my project. Plans to open this summer. Yay

I can't wait to look at all your shops.

Hugs
Pam

Thank you so much for the invite! ^_^ My name is Shannon Valentine and I'm a geeky, bespeckled girl who has been creating fantasy art since I was a little girl. I love faeries, angels, unicorns and cute animals. My tools of the trade are watercolor and color pencils. I love to watch things grow, especially in my garden. I'm drawn to beautiful, enchanting and mysterious things (pretty much anything with a sci-fi/fantasy, paranormal, or ethereal bent). I'm so delighted to be a part of this group. :)

Re: Introductions

Hi my name is Mechelle. I love all things in the Fairy Kingdom and butterflies. I used to watch my kids with all their role playing games but never had the time to play with them. My youngest child was the only one to keep going with fantasy art and she and her boyfriend(works in the anime world) has taken it to a new level. She draws and he's a colorist and I love their work. Except they don't do fairies. Oh well. My favorite movies are anything dealing with the fantasy world, natural disasters, death and destruction yet mythical and colorful. I'm working on my first fairy but it's a long way from being ready. Just wanted to be around like-minded people.

Re: Introductions

Hallo and thanks a lot for the invitation!

I'm really impressed with what's behind your art and your projects. My name is Judith and I am the owner of and creative hands at my shops mysticsoaps and Lavarie. Since I am pagan, I feel drawn to nature spirits, fairies and magic and I feel strongly connected to mother Earth and divinity in all its forms. That’s why I engage myself a lot in mythology. I love to connect to the goddess in her mythological forms and to express my impressions in soap (I know, this sounds weird…), in scents, in colours and so on. And I love, when other people can recognize that :-)

Belonging to this new team is great! I’m very much looking forward to browse your shops, to converse and to trade :-)
By the way: please be indulgent to me and my sometimes clumsy use of the English language. I am a bit out of practice, but do my best to express my thoughts comprehensibly *promise*.

Re: Introductions

Hi everyone,

I'm Astra, and I wasn't invited--I just joined! I found this Team after doing a search for "fairy tales," so I know I'm in the right spot! I make jewelry, often with a fantasy, Renaissance, Victorian, Gothic, or vintage theme. I love getting inspiration from Etsy and my fellow sellers, I tend to make a lot of Treasuries (when I'm on a roll) and I enjoy promoting my fellow artisans' work on Pinterest (http://pinterest.com/astraeadesigns/)

I'm also open to trades and custom work, and if I'm lucky enough to live near fellow teammates, I really enjoy the idea of collaborating on photos and themed projects. As in, showcase each other's work through group photo shoots (preferably with a fantasy theme!)

I also dabble in art, design, writing, photography, and whatever else piques my interest. Geek-girl dreamer at heart!

Re: Introductions

many thanks for the invitation to dance in the enchanted forest with such lovely fellow beings, sending you love and light and blessings for your gardens!

I live at the edge of the forest in Bulgaria in a little handmade cobb house with my man and our bees and our litttle trees as we slowly reforest an exagricultural area. Living simply in the nature and feeling her forces and energies is my inspiration and daily joy, here is so much power and beauty and my sewing is for the people who dance in this magic.
Currently Im sewing many leafy cloaks but as the weather turns I hope to have time to list new things Im working on, inspired by the ancient symbols and embroidery of the Slavic people.

smiles and butterfly hugs xx

Hi =)

My name is Lolita, I am 23, and living in Houston. I just opened my shop Dream Relic and rushing to fill it up with cool creations! I'm glad I found this team!

I hand paint decorative items. So far I have jars, a frame, and some paper weights. I am not open to trades as of right now.
When I paint, my art starts off realistic, but as I go on I always end up adding fantasy into the painting hehe =)

Re: Introductions

Hello fellow Esty-ers. I just joined this group and look forward to getting to know you all. A little about me, hmm Let's see? Well for starters I am the bee's knees, and wonderful in every way. Ok ok... I'll be honest. I am an overworked social worker by profession, and I find myself loving my job even when I want to pull my hair out.
I was born and raised here in the Appalachian mountains. For many years, mostly my teenage ones, I wanted to run away from my heritage and culture. But thankfully to a marvelous English composition professor in college my freshman year I had to do a oral history project. I ended up interviewing my great aunt about ghost stories and folk beliefs and magic. As she talked I realized what a wonderful heritage and culture I actually come from. I fell in love with my home land, and since then I have not wanted to live anywhere else. I began to collect my memories and stories of the locals about witch lore and folk magic. I realized so many things people did in the mountains were left over pieces of scot, Irish, Cornish, welsh, German, and English magical practices. And of course after living in the Appalachian mountains isolated from the world at large the people created other practices and magics. And even intermingled with the Tsalagi (Cherokee) practices and beliefs here and there.
That is what I practice Appalachian Witchery. That is also the name of my store.
For a few years I worked with southern hoodoo and conjure, but now I am focused on preserving and sharing the practices of my home. I will occasionally have some hoodoo products for sale but those will be more sporadic.
I have not ever traded on ETSY, but I am open to it. I also can do custom works. So please feel free to ask about anything.

Thanks for the invite.

Re: Introductions

Hi, I'm Brenda. Thank you for the invitation.

My work, for the most part, uses discarded things, found objects, or recycled materials to create a new form.. I must wait for the material to tell me how and what it wants to be. It has taught me patience and appreciation for the process, as things flow when I listen.

I look forward to being in such creative company!

Hello magical people! I am Livia and I live and create in Austria. I love and adorn all plants and all spirits surrounding us. I am a passionate gardener and much of my inspiration comes from the diversity around us.
