;o) Excellent Jellybeans ;o), shortcuts are always great and you can also hold your left mouse button down, scrolling over the necessary browser address, release and then right click your mouse over the highlighted text and a menu will pop up, scroll down to copy (click with left button again), then go to your comment and right click again to have the menu appear and left click on paste ;o) ... sounds complicated when explaining right/left, but it does actually become second nature ;o) and saves you lots of time.
And I believe it's v (as in ctrl-v for a pc and command-v for a mac) because of it's closer proximity to the middle of the keypad for your dominant index finger and therefore more accessible than reaching for the "p" with a pinky. Sadly, the placement of the keys on the keyboard is an entirely different matter of slowing you down back when the keyboard was on a typewriter and the keys would jam so they devised a placement that made your fingers work more slowly with highly used letters spread out to make you work for them... now we're stuck with the unfortunately ill-placed keys (no one wants to relearn a new keyboard scheme).
