How Do I...

I would like to be more involved with your Threads, but I can't seem to figure out how to just post a link to one piece of artwork. When I go to my photo albums it says post this link but it is for the album as a whole.

Re: How Do I...

Hello Tdavispainthouse, SO glad to hear that you want to be more involved in the threads! We would love to have you here and posting!

Here's how to post a link of your artwork. Click on one of your favorite items in your shop (notice the website address in the bar above - highlight, then go to Edit in the top tab and copy - now you can come back to our thread and then go to Edit and paste within your comment like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/70421301/miss-bunny-thinks-rain-is-imminent-color?ref=pr_shop

Hope this helps ;o). This works with all images, including the Facebook photos, like this: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150168340084813&set=a.335733784812.188298.327765624812

;o) write to us anytime and we'll do our best to help!

hugs,
brienna

Re: How Do I...

p.s. it won't be a blue hyperlink when you're typing, btw, that will happen after you hit "post a reply"

Re: How Do I...

*welcome!*

These are the short cut buttons once you get comfortable with how brienna explained :)

select the text / link: pressing ctrl-c to copy, and ctrl-v to paste (why is isn't ctrl-p, I haven't a clue!)

Re: How Do I...

;o) Excellent Jellybeans ;o), shortcuts are always great and you can also hold your left mouse button down, scrolling over the necessary browser address, release and then right click your mouse over the highlighted text and a menu will pop up, scroll down to copy (click with left button again), then go to your comment and right click again to have the menu appear and left click on paste ;o) ... sounds complicated when explaining right/left, but it does actually become second nature ;o) and saves you lots of time.

And I believe it's v (as in ctrl-v for a pc and command-v for a mac) because of it's closer proximity to the middle of the keypad for your dominant index finger and therefore more accessible than reaching for the "p" with a pinky. Sadly, the placement of the keys on the keyboard is an entirely different matter of slowing you down back when the keyboard was on a typewriter and the keys would jam so they devised a placement that made your fingers work more slowly with highly used letters spread out to make you work for them... now we're stuck with the unfortunately ill-placed keys (no one wants to relearn a new keyboard scheme).
