Question about Beading Wire, please help!

I try to make gemstone jewelry with sterling silver clasps, jump rings, and wire...but do people really care if the beads are strung on sterling silver beading wire? It's so much more expensive...I don't know what I should do. I want to make a quality product, but I also have very limited funds...

Re: Question about Beading Wire, please help!

For necklaces to hang comfortably and naturally, I use 7 or 19 or 49 strand wire depending on how heavy my metal and/or stone beads are. I try to match the wire color to my beads. When I use silver beads or beads that contrast well with silver, I use sterling clasps.
My rule of thumb is to use heavier wire with heavy beads.
Hope this helps.

yeah it does. i was wondering if it's necessary to use sterling silver beading wire, as opposed to silver colored beading wire.

Not necessary to use sterling wire. With continue use, it will get stiffer, and eventually break. Just use beading wire and get a good basic beading book which explains how to string appropriately.

I know how to string :-) I just didn't know if people expect sterling wire.
