Can a customer delete certain convo's on Etsy?

I had a customer contact me that she approved an invitation with just the first proof I provided in Etsy convo. The order I printed was the revised invitation that I SWEAR she requested the change. I remember it because she wanted the font changed and added info. She received her invitation and says this wasn't the proof she approved. It was the first proof. All the messages in-between the first post and the 2nd proof was deleted. Can the customer delete certain messages?  I have to now provide her a refund or reprint out of my pocket and I know she requested those edits. :(  But I have NO proof.
