Good Monday morning!

Whew, I think we turned into the Amazon jungle the last 2 day! My haor is so curly, you'd think I had it permed!!

Had a nice time in the pool with GS--he has so matured in so many ways!!
Then we went to dinner. and he attacked a steak omelette and a huge bowl of broccoli !

Tim, you keep it up with those rings and you'll have to hire the Brinks truck for your pick-up the money! Congrats!
A music teacher in the family;what an awesome happening that is!!

Julie , yes a trip out to see your son sounds like a great plan. Does he call often? Congrats on your sale, too!

Annie, business must be picking up with all that sewing you are doing! Great!

Jan, be easy on the lawnmower, no need to aggravate the back or neck!

Seems like many places are getting an over abundance of rain.

Jan, welcome to the club! Grass cutting is really something I enjoy. Such instant gratification.

Klaire, we do talk to them often. And my DIL is on FB with pictures of the the baby all the time. So we don't feel like we are out of touch. One of the good things about FB! Enjoy your time with Zach!

We had some more rain yesterday and again this morning. A good thing! It's so nice to wake up to rain. However, it will be hot and steamy this afternoon.

So I guess my complaining about sales worked! A big ticket sale last night, my ceramic sun face, and then 3 sets of tea bag holder/spoon rests this morning.

I'm going to do the ChristmasinJuly thing this year. My NORGA team is participating and we'll be trying to promote it. I'm using Etsy on Sale to discount a whole section in my shop. I haven't decided about the dates for my shop. I think I'll start this weekend and run for a couple of weeks. I'd really like to clear out some old stuff and will be listing some new stuff that is "Christmasy"

Whew, power is back on. 18 hours no power. No work, no computer, scary!
Lots of branches down in the yard, but other than the power, no real problems.

Wow, Tim, no power? From storms? Well, glad you're back on line. You'll have yard clean up duty.

H&H again to day. I guess it will be like this till Sept. I hate being cold but I'm really starting to hate being hot, too. Meh!

My kiln fired yesterday with a glaze load but no unloading till tomorrow. The latest Dream Pot is in there. I've got m fingers crossed.

Getting my hair cut this morning and then errands to run. An order to pack, too. Yay!

Good morning!

Trying to eat my breakfast at the same time I am working on the computer. Hope I don't get egg-drops on my shirt--have an eye Dr.appointment this afternoon and don't want to have to change shirts!!

Spent 4 hours yesterday helping my Dtr-in-law, creating place settings for where each guest will sit and eat at the wedding reception-gee, we moved the Anderson' s 6 times!! Expecting 195 guests!!

Tim, did you folks have wild storms move through? Been an unsettled spring and summer so far.

It's pool time again today!

Yep, there were 5 verified tornado touch downs in the general area. Nothing too close, but waves of serious thunder storms, lots of wind & rain. I here there are still over 100,000 homes without power in NE ILL. 36 hours after the storms hit.

I guess we were lucky. Cool day today, high of only 72. Sounds wonderful!
We're working on the boat today, (well, mostly the grandson is scrubbing it down) just might get it on the water this year! Hope so.

Oh boy, I just heard the elect company say some folks in my town won't get power back until noon on the 4th! Yikes! I guess I'm lucky.

Must have been some storm, Tim! Glad you are okay and have your power back.

I don't know if I mentioned that the pop-up gift gallery that I participated invited me back as they are able to use the same vacant storefront through September. However more fine artists are involved this time and my items had to be juried. I had to laugh at their response.

"Please join the shop for the next month, with special care to matching the character of a fine art and artisan shop.

Our committee of 3 reviewed your work and appreciate the quality of your work, but had mixed reactions about the fabrics and products you make. One of our reviewers recommended more subtle fabrics, like several of the ones you have used, but not the funny fabrics, such as the one with dogs."

Dog fabrics are funny! Hysterical.

Annie, really?! So will you be in? Out? I've usually found jury committees to be a little obtuse. Stuff with dog fabric is a lot of what you do! Their loss if you're not there!

Hair cut yesterday and grass cutting today.

Klaire, 195 guests? Wow, that's a big wedding! I don't know much about that sort of thing. I guess it'll get figured out!

Well, Julie we got it all worked out--every one will have a place to sit and eat.
Things were different when I was married. Everyone brought a dish to pass and we had the reception at the local town hall--My,oh my how things and times have changed!

I'm making a cold tuna casserole for tomorrow's 4th of July celebration.

You all have a safe and fun 4th;fireworks and all!

I barely slept last night and have been grocery shopping, one of the desserts is in the oven and I am about to start peeling apples for the pie. No one else in the house is up yet. Copper is of course.

Happy 4th of July all!!
Had a great morning, fishing with the son and grandson. Boat still floats after 2 years of sitting in the driveway and this ol man still knows how to catch fish!

Lunch and a nap, now all the kids leave for their grands place and shoot off fireworks with all their cousins. I'll stay home and try to keep my poor, gentile golden retriever calm. He really hates fireworks.

Sunday the holiday weekend will wrap up with all my Canada fishing buddies getting together with friends and families for a big fish fry. This one will be better than most, as it won't be at my house, (so I don't have to do all the pre and post party cleaning) all I need to do is show up with my big propane deep fryer and my secret batter mix to do the cooking.

Tim, it is more enjoyable when attending a cookout, if it's at another's place. Allows for more relaxation! Good you're still the fisherman!

For me today, just cleaning up and relaxing. If the temps go up, may get in the pool. Yesterday there was almost a fall wind blowing in and a dip in the pool would have left my teeth chattering,

Thank you, Klaire! I love that one and will be sad to see it go but that gallery(Genuine Ga) sells lots of my work and I know it will go to a good home. Besides, I can't imagine trying to ship it if I sold it here! I hope you get some pool time today.

Tim, have fun with the fishing buds. And yay for not having to clean up!

Annie, did Copper do OK with the fireworks? Our dogs don't mind that noise but we've had ones before that just quivered all night when there were fireworks or thunder.

Copper did just fine with the fireworks. They are still going off and he doesn't care. The other dogs in the house, not so well including the lab. They tend to be afraid of anything and everything. Drives me a little bonkers plus they bark a lot. Clouds my view of small dogs.
