Well, the fishing weekend was a qualified success. Sat was a beautiful day to be on the water. We did catch fish, just not in the numbers we were expecting. Sunday was a bust. Lake Erie was just too rough to go out.

Still had a good time with 3 long time fishing bud's and one "new guy". Some fishing, some drinking and a whole lot of slinging BS at each other. A typical guys weekend.

Now I'm back to work, 4 new ring orders over the weekend, plus a couple more to finish up on. It's supposed to be a beautiful fall week around here, no rain, crisp mornings and cool, comfortable afternoons. I'll have to find time to go out and enjoy the weather.

Hope everybody's week is as pleasant as mine is shaping up to be.

Yay, Tim, for good weekends and good sales!

I'm unloading my kiln this morning. I peeked in yesterday at the top shelf and it looked good.

We're in for great mild weather this week. Dry, though. We could use a little rain. The leaves are starting to change and this dry weather will help that along.

Jan, so you're seeking a spider web sweeper type person, tall though? Get a long broom maybe? I have one of those extra long and retractable ceiling sweepers--works great!

Tim, you ole LOTR's guy--even if you're fishing you're selling those beautiful rings! Congrats.

We were only able to target and catch perch. The Walleye have been scarce, so we decided to try for the more cooperative perch. They may not be as much fun to catch, but they taste just as good!

I feel very lucky to have found a little niche with my rings. I've spent the last 20 years trying to find something that matches my abilities with a broad customer base. Now if it just keeps up for a few more years!

Tim, to have a niche in the huge jewelry market on Etsy is awesome. Clearly, you're doing something right!

It's a coolish morning here. 56 when I got up headed for middle 70's for the high. I'm loving the weather right now. But you know I'll be complaining when it gets cold!

I had lunch with my DD yesterday before I had a dr. appt. So not much else got done.

I did hear back from one of my commissions for the large canister. I have one finished and second one drying that's a little larger. She liked the look of the finished jar but wants to wait for the larger jar. That's fine. That's why I do extras. I can always sell them to someone else.

I've got some housework to do today(meh) and grocery shopping(double meh). Maybe I'll get to the studio later this afternoon.

Hello everyone!

Been some really busy times lately - so not chatting much except a little on Facebook.

A few sales on Artfire - nothing here since I re-opened, but views and favorites, LOL!! Takes a while to get back in the swing of things. Still trying to find time to make some new things to list.

Klaire - I am so sorry. Hugs - and warm wishes. We always have the memories.

Tim congrats on good fishing -- and your success with your rings, which are really neat!

It's a studio day for me today. A bisque load fired yesterday so I'll be glazing tomorrow. I've got more than enough for another whole bisque load right now. But I'm trying to get ahead for Christmas. I keep taking commissions that use up a lot of throwing time and I need to build up stock. I know, tough problem!

We went to see Garth Brooks last night in ATL. I went with my DD and SIL. Awesome concert! That's one to cross off the bucket list if I had a bucket list. I was up late and then up early this morning to come home.

Ya'll know I'm just a country girl, right? ;-)

Julie, you may be a country girl but you don't let any grass grow under those feet! I bet that was a great experience - one of those for the "I did it!" list.

Speaking of grass - you are right about the mowing. I don't mind it at all. I am hoping to be done for this year, though.

Kind of a busy weekend for me too. The grandson and I did quite a lot of yard work Sat afternoon, mowing and cutting back much of the flowers of summer. Attended an "empty nester" party at a good friends house in the evening. Sunday I rounded up both daughters, sil & grandson and drove up to SW Michigan for a day of flea markets, and visited some very good friends that I haven't seen for about 15 years, which is a darn shame since they live in a beautiful home on beautiful lake.
The weekend weather was just too perfect to spend indoors.

Sold a few more rings over the weekend too! One will be off the the Netherlands when completed and one I sold last week is done and going off to Norway this morning. I think it's so neat that my rings are going all over the globe.

They are having services over in Austria, then sending my guy home for services here in the states,then he's going to Hawaii to have his ashes scattered over those beautiful islands--:-)

What is it with this house and leaky toilets? We're having an out of town guest tonight and I go upstairs to clean the bathroom and walk into squishy carpet and water all over the floor. Who knows how long it's been leaking! DH fixed it and I've been upstairs with the carpet cleaner vacuuming up the water. Fans are blowing now. Jeez!

Klaire, I hope you're doing alright. Was it sudden? Well, you can tell us if you feel like it. I will say I like the scattering of ashes part. (((Hugs)))

It's turned a little warm today. I've got on shorts again after days of long pants. Jan, I guess we'l get your rain eventually.

I'll be waiting to unload the kiln later this week. It fired right on schedule today.
