Julie, and to all interested parties, the sneakers are for my everyday wear. I wore the others out. I've a very comfortable pair of Naturalizer sandals for the big day!

Klaire, how was the wedding?

I got my kiln unloaded yesterday and good things came out. Both commissions turned out perfectly. One already paid!

It's another H&H day today. I'm moving slowly or not at all. But they say a temporary cool down next week. We need some rain.

Hope everyone is OK and staying out of trouble. ;-)

Glad the kiln load was successful. Congrats on your sales. It has been very slow on Etsy for me but I am selling to friends and friends of friends so I am happy. I am sewing and adding new things which is always good.

Hi Folks!

Well - I got busy and didn't get in here to chat with you all. Seems like I missed a bunch -- and you guys got busy.

But one of the good things about being so busy was that I had a bunch of sales in my Artfire Studio! Unexpected - summer is usually very slow for me, but it was nice!!

Tim, when you talk about things in Chicago, it beings back lots of memories, as I grew up there and went to the U of I (Urbana-Champaign) - didn't leave the midwest until late 1980 when I came to California, where I have stayed ever since. But I remember the drills in school in case we got hit by any tornadoes!

Tim - sounds like you are busy with sales - and a new studio.

Klaire - a wedding in the family is always nice!

I got in several Etsy Treasuries, which was a nice surprise. I need to do one - one of these days. Here is one with some of crocheted Decor in it:

Working on some new decor items -- need to find the time to do it all!

I'm also making myself sweaters - I decided to do a long-term project by crocheting and knitting myself sweaters in the Colors and Fibers I want them in -- working on a cotton summer sweater in "Shaded Denims" right now - should finish it tonight.

Will be off doing personal things offline for a few days again - will check back in here and see how you all are doing in a few days!

I went to the PO this morning with 7 packages. Woot!! That makes up for the dry spell earlier this month. Now if it will just continue. ;-)

Klaire, I just sent you a friend request on FB. I have liked your page from a long time ago and see those postings but I guess I never did the friend request thing. IDK, FB is so baffling sometimes!

We're supposed to get some rain(she said hopefully) and then a little cooler later this week.

I need to order clay today. I'm down to my last 75 lbs. Busy hands, busy hands. That will mean a trip to the city next week to pick up.

I think family is just now getting rested from the weekend activities--forgot how much energy went into weddings.

Nothing big happening around here. 'm still chipping away at years of accumulated.....stuff.......... I'm going to end up with a whole lot of space to fill up with new ..........stuff.

Cool week around Chi Town, good working weather. Too bad cleaning, sorting and tossing..stuff.. is so boring!

I'm still working on a few ring orders and the bracelets are kinda on hold till some of these other things get done and out of the way.

Tough weekend coming up, I'm taking the son and grandson over to a friends house to take down a few trees and stockpile some wood for the wood burner this coming winter. I really am getting too old to cut and stack my own firewood.

We got some cooler(not as hot) weather but no rain. At least that slows the grass down.

I ordered my clay yesterday and will plan to do to the city next week. I've got enough to last me till then.

Glad the wedding went smoothly.

I regret to say that Hospice nurses are now coming to my home. These are hard days. The kids are coming this weekend so I will take a little of the time to rest while they are with their dad. Hard to believe three months have gone by. But all things pass and I will get through this, too. it was a shock, to say the least. We had good days.
