Jan, so you like to be creative even when wall painting.

I recall creatively painting graffiti on a 1/2 bathroom walls, that no one used except family. I painted the back ground pink with huge red hearts containg initials and cupid's arrow going through it. What a fun day I had, till my husband saw it```````Oh well---sigh

Housecleaning on my list today unless someone rescues me--:-)

Klaire, I've not been in any of the recent tests. I don't know what people were seeing or not seeing. Which is frustrating! I had a couple of people ask me about shipping with that hidden shipping debaucle(sp) and didn't realize that people weren't seeing what I had there.

My shop front page is the same as it's been since that last test(bannerless, no sections) a long time ago. I really think Etsy is running too many tests at one time. Lots of discussion about it in the forums. How can Etsy know what is working or not working with so many variations of tests going on? I want to believe that they are doing what's best for the site but if there's a method to their madness it's sometimes hard to see.

Anyway, yesterday was blood donation day so I'm a little tired. I may have to wait longer between donations next time. I want to do it as there is always a shortage and especially in the summer. I'm O+ which is so common it gets used up fast. Years ago when I had my accident they gave me 9 units of blood! So this is my way of paying back and paying forward at the same time.

We had a t-storm last night with lots of wind and rain.

My front page is kind of back. The banner and shop announcement is back but the links to the forums (this thread is the only one I bother with) is gone and I have to go through a bunch of clicks to get here. pita

I had a nice sale last night for a cutting board and 6 assorted spoons & spatulas. I'm not sure I'll ever make anymore once the current stock is gone. There just in not much profit in those items and I am keeping busy with the rings. The son and I are working on bangle type bracelets to add to the line.

Cool and rainy yesterday and so far this morning too. Grass & flowers are loving it!

I might drive over to Crown Point today for another big car show, weather permitting. I've got to get out of the STUDIO more, especially during the weather that is not too cold and not too hot. I guess I'm like Goldilocks. LOL

Computer problems last night had me using my son's Chrome Book to log in here and guess what? My shop looks totally different on his computer. That's really upsetting. Same location, same browser but different looking shop. It makes no sense to try to keep my shop looking good if I have no idea if what I am seeing on my monitor is what my customers are seeing. I have not tried, but supposedly the shops look totally different if you are using your phone or tablet also.
I give up.
Whatever, sold two more rings last night. just when I thought I was about caught up.

The weather here has not been made for swimming--cloudy,potential storms all day. I guess Father's day is the 1st nice day for outdoor stuff.

Tim, more rings sold...that's a tough problem to have! ;-)

It's a cloudy, not too hot day here after a big t-storm last night. Lots of lightning.

I've started another huge hand building project in the studio. Another in my Dream Pot series. The last one sold so fast when they called to see if I had another one I had to say no. It takes weeks to get the right clay together( a mixture of all my clays wedged up) and then the building process takes days and then weeks of drying. Maybe I'll have one by July if I start now.

The kiln will be firing tomorrow with a bisque load. I've got a commission in there and other stuff.

Still feeling a little tired so not doing much.

Julie and Tim - seems like you are keeping busy with sales - that's good!

Tim, I would be very disappointed if you never made any more cutting boards. I don't know about the spatulas, but your cutting boards are gorgeous -- and I know some people buy really nice ones for kitchens and even dining areas!

I was in the test mode for the new design of the front page shortly after I re-opened my etsy shop, but then they changed it back, which I was glad to see - I had spent a certain amount of time making an updated banner and it has 9 photos in it showing the variety of what I have made - and make - which is what I like people to see when they first land on my shop.

I just checked my Shop Stats for the whole year - I just re-opened it in May - I was getting views on both the shop and listings (sold ones?) while it was "on vacation", LOL! Anyway --- I am getting views of my new stuff now, which I am glad to see.

My sales are a little slow in my Artfire Studio, but I always get lots of views in there - from all over the place! I'm afraid that some of them, though, bounce right out again, but someone is buying occasionally - and requesting custom orders, LOL!

It got up to the 100's last weekend - and has been in the 90's in the afternoons. I am staying inside in my nice, cool apartment a lot of the time, with a little outside gardening - or sitting outside crocheting. Something about the heat doesn't seem to agree with me always.

I use to like to do Treasuries on Etsy - maybe I'll get to one here Did a new Artfire Collection recently - was a hit! I've had one on Artfire's Front Page in the past.

Still overcast here, but promised sunshine by noon--Good, cuz I hung out some things to dry in the sun. I love the fragrance of sun dried items;better than any dryer sheets could ever smell!!

Tim, Ruth is right your cutting boards are lovely. But oh, those rings!!

Julie, sounds like your dream pots are labor intensive. Hope your energy returns quickly--:-)

Ruth, I lived in Wash, DC for several years and the summers there were hot enough for me. Then when I moved to Georgia, well, the heat was oppressive--stayed indoors till the sun went down!

Not much going on here--just taken-er-easy. :-)

Well, I have a new look for my shop now. The header across the top is totally different with different icons and drop down menus for my shop. Honestly, I don't hate it but if I hadn't seen some stuff in the forums about where things were, I would have been lost.

Klaire, you mean you didn't just love the hotandhumid Ga summers? ;-) I've only lived in the South so don't know any other kind of summer.

Tim, I may have to get one of your cutting boards if there aren't going to be anymore. Then it will be a collector's items!

I'm heading to the studio now and maybe Home Depot later.

Was up early and out on the patio cleaning the weeds from all the flower pots. Hope to buy some flowers this weekend to re-plant the pots.
It was so nice and cool, perfect weather for messing around in the yard!

Oh, I know Julie if one is born and lives in a certain climate then to them it feels just normal. --:-)

I guess whatever etsy decides; we go with the flow.

I thought I already posted here today but I see I didn't. My brain! ;-)

Round two on the dream pot. The first one didn't make it off the structure I build. I tried to move it too soon and it fell apart. Heavy sigh.

I just came in from doing ribs on the grill. A first for me and I must say they are delicious. Tomorrow will be empandas for DH for Father's Day. I've already made pound cake. I wish we still had fresh strawberries but they are done. Peaches and blueberries will be next.

I still have the new test header and it seems fine. Once you figure out where stuff is it's not bad... just different.

I did more on the weed project (will it EVER be done this year) and, in reading Julie's talk about fruit I have to say I am happily picking wild raspberries these days. My absolute favorite!

Hello all, I have missed so much. Getting ready to go to Florida for my sons wedding. Have to say I am exhausted, hoping to catch up on all my jobs before I go. Havn 't even been to my etsy account to observe all the changes. I am really lost.

Hey Susan! Long time on hear...lol

Had to go with plan B for Fathers day. I had booked a salmon charter on Lake Michigan for Sunday afternoon, with all 3 of my kids, son in law and grandson, but mother nature blew into town and churned up 5-7 foot waves on the lake so we have to reschedule for next week.

I ended up making my own ribs. I don't trust any of the kids to make MY ribs. We did have a bonfire and roasted marshmallows Sat. night and the kids made us pancakes for Sun. breakfast. All in all a good Fathers day.

Caught up, as of today, on ring orders. Time to move the ring STUDIO into the basement! yay!

Hotnhumid today.... oh well, beats the below zero we had most of the winter.

Back to work for me............later!

Jan, watch out for chiggers! Early morning wet grass is prime location for them. And they just love me. I don't go off the porch without spraying my ankles.

I had a good day in the shop yesterday glazing and the kiln is firing today, yay! Also, sold my big sunflower piece and shipped it to Michigan.

Tim, catching up on the rings is good and moving the studio is better. Glad you had a good Father's day even if it was the back up plan.

I've got lots of errands to run today and I want to get out for a walk before it's H&H.

Weather a repeat of yesterday. I did get an hour in the pool though. It doesn't
look as promising today.

Off to see my eye doctor this AM. I really need to.
I was reading the ingredients on a box of nut thin crackers. I read one of the ingredients was 'cat fiber'. I emailed their customer service asking what 'cat fiber' was. I received a reply stating there was no 'cat fiber' in the ingredients. I went outside and dug the box out of the garbage,read the side panel again--it was 'oat fiber'!! I wrote the CS again to apologize for my error-:-) Off to the eye doc I go--:-)

LOL Klaire! That is something that I would do!

I have been reading lots of labels and being very diligent about dog treats and dog food and where they are manufactured. Copper keeps getting a rash on his tummy. I don't know from what. A Benedryl works but need to find the cause.

Getting ready for company besides dealing with Life in general, checking tasks off my list.........I'm not getting much time in the studio but I do manage an hour or two some days.

I don't dare say I haven't been found by chiggers yet this year. Notice I said "yet".

Using any new soaps or cleaners, Annie? It could be such a simple thing. Hard to think of all those possibilities.
