Elle, I don't know if you saw my post about the money plant seeds. It was a few pages back. Anyway, I have lots if you're interested in having some. You can convo me with an address if you are. Might be a nice addition to your beautiful garden. And anyone else convo me.

It's still hot here but I think the NE is even hotter which is strange. We're crispy with no rain for weeks. Stay cool if you can!

Just spent 30 minutes cleaning the dust out of a desk fan. What a challenge that was, especially when taking the thing apart and re-assembling it!

I went to see my sister in Texas last week. It was so good to spend time with her and some of my Texas friends. We got a little rain here in Ms when I was gone, and it's still hot and humid, like it should rain any second.

My shops have been immobile for a while--no sales this whole month, but I think that's pretty common for me in July. Of course, anything can happen.

Money plant seeds? Guess I didn't read back far enough.

Hi Willow, I didn't read back far enough to see the seed post. I've never grown money plant, but I'd love to try some seeds. I'll convo you my address. Thanks! If you want to trade, I've got all sorts of stuff to share: seed for lavender, foxgloves, and nicotiana to name a few. (The nicotiana is divinely scented in the evening and night time.)

I need to get back in the swing of making stuff. Today is more of a housecleaning kind of day, with some computer time mixed in. I hope you're finding ways to stay cool!

Good Sunday morning.

Art2, 104! Wow! We were 99 yesterday. With high, high humidity.
Hopefully not as hot here today. Maybe only mid 90's. Still no rain :(

Elle, I would love some nicotiana. Lavender and foxgloves don't do well for me. I have tried many times only to be disappointed.

I'm firing a glaze load today after glazing for 3 hours yesterday. I hope to be playing in the clay later. Either that or clean house! I'm pretty sure which one will win!

Weather has been perfect here for a few days, sunny, warm, cool at night,.... full mid summer season in Washington...

Going to spend the day finishing up an outfit, skirt and shirt... we shall see if I like it enough to actually wear it. Sometimes things don't turn out like I mean them too! Picked up the fabric at the thrift store for $5, enough for a skirt & a pieced top... I can't find nice dresses and skirts in this town, and don't like to order clothes without a try-on option...

Wishing sales pick up for us all as the summer winds down.... going to try and get an Etsy banner bunting done to have at the Olympia Weekend Market first weekend of August.... I don't really like the orange, or the design actually, but hope it draws peoples eye to see I have an online shop....
we shall see...

Hope the weather gets better everywhere else!

Cobalt - gitottahere, as they say. Perhaps I was meant to live there. When I sewed my clothes, I hate to think of how many hours I spent sewing things that I didn't like and never wore. I finally figured out how important it was to choose the drape and weight of the fabric. All that experience must have been good for something.

Seems a little better out because it has clouded over. Humidity still here but just not to have the sun beating down helps.

Julie - this is aways back on the track, but I had a floor furnace once and I liked it. It was wonderful to stand on! And so simple - fire-hole-HEAT. Dried up some nice leather shoes on it, too!

Life -- and making things has kept me super busy and I just haven't gotten in here much -- took a look around at all the news!

Finally got part of my new FLOWER DECOR Series done and listed:

All my design, based on stitches I know - a Coaster and Napkin Ring Set with 3D Roses on them.

No CIJS Sales yet -- not really doing one here on Etsy, but have been posting on Twitter and Facebook about it, but no sales at least yet -- Views & Hearts, yes!!

I am working on re-doing -- actually adding to a Red & Green Christmas-type Doily -- will do a "Work-In_Progress" blog post on it. It is done in very fine DMC Pearl Cotton (size 12, which translated into about size 45 crochet thread) -- it is actually very beautiful and the original was actually in The Storque once, but never sold -- it originally had a ring of 16 dainty red flowers -- I am in the process of adding a ring of 32 of the red flowers around the outside of it with a new border. Very detailed, Graphic -- decided a bigger Doily/Centerpiece might be better - though it is really detailed, in the fine thread, it was rather small. Trying to get it done before the end of July!

Well - I do this because I really enjoy it, not just because it sells, which it does occassionally.

Also, thinking about new Baskets and Potholders and Cloths (matching) that I can make with the new yarns I recently bought at 70% off. Have an amazing collection now -- and I also love making the colorful things with the yarns.

Thankful it's cooled down a few degrees here in VA! :) My studio was getting to hot to work in, even with AC blasting. I posted some new items for fall and I'm working on a bunch more... coming soon. Stop by my shop and take a peek!
