I'm back from taking the week off - Hope you've all been doing well!

Re: Discussion Thread - September 9th - September 16th

Hi, I recently had someone request a custom order. I went ahead and made the stuff she wanted knowing that if she didn't end up purchasing the order I could sell it. My question is, how long should I let the custom order set in my listings before I make it regular listing in my shop? Any input on what you think a reasonable amount of time is? I have left 2 messages for her.

How long has it been?? I would give her a week from when it was listed, after that I would say make it a regular listing

Anything custom I have pretty much started making a Reserved Custom listing and they need to buy and pay for the items before I even start making them..I would like to trust everyone but when it comes to this stuff I don't want to take any chances.

Thanks Tiffany. It's been since last thursday. I know I will sell the items, I was just wondering how long to wait before I put them in my reg. inventory.

Gosh, Marybeth, I would think 2 weeks, because if someone has the flu, or something like that, 2 weeks would be the minimum before you decide you might live. I guess that would be something to address in our policies, huh? I never even thought of special orders not picked up. Should you consider sending her a message that at x number of days, if you have not heard from her, you will put the items in regular stock? Comments, anyone?
