Alternative to Soldering

I was at an art market today and a lady had a pendant with a sterling silver swirl attached to it. I asked if it was soldered on and she said no, she used a special jewelers glue.

Anyone know what that glue is?

Thanks!

It could have been Diamond Glaze, E600, Gorilla Glue or so many other things--advances in adhesives just amaze me. There are many sellers here that specialize in supplies--perhaps searching out adhesives and conversing with a few shops would give you wisdom.

Best,
Susan

Re: Alternative to Soldering

yes, i am concerned about jumprings on pendants which can leave a gap just enough to slip out of the beading wire and the pendant falls off. what i do now is drop clear nailpolish in the tiny crack where the jumpring closes. any other ideas on this? i sometimes use split rings but find them difficult to work with.

Good idea with the clear nail polish. And yes, split rings are a pain but worth it. Do you have the split ring pliers?
