I think you should definitely give Etsy a shot and sell your crochet items here. I really didn't know much about Etsy when I started but I knew I was passionate about what I do. That's the key. I would suggest you make several different things and take some good photos of them from different angles in natural light and also show them being used. You might want to see what other crochet sellers are doing here and think about how you can set yours apart from theirs. Coming up with great descriptions and tags is also important. You will learn as you go and don't need to know it all when you start. I am still learning 2 yrs into it and the best place for learning more and getting advice is from other Etsy sellers with more experience here in the forums. Don't ever be afraid to ask a question. There are no dumb questions. Also be patient. You will need to build up a good inventory for exposure and it can take time to get that first sale. It took me 3 months to get my first sale here on Etsy. I'm sure there's alot of great advice from others that I haven't touched on here and you will probably get some good tips from them.
