For the team's first thread I thought introductions seemed appropriate. My name's Georgina, I have two Etsy shops (Unusual Fascinators and Nevermore Hall). I live in Kent, England and have a great passion for anything burlesque, steampunk, victorian and beautiful.

So, who are you? What do you love? What do you sell?

I'm Lotus, and I love all things dark and sad. I specifically get excited over that burlesque, creepy circus sort of thing. Where there's purples and blacks and lots of bright colors, and people who send you spiraling out of control. I used to have dreams that I had an attic with a dress up box, and. . . anyway.

I make gothic art dolls. I enjoy what I do, but I still think my own imagination could be more perfectly realized. I do get closer and closer to it, as I continue in my dark art. : )

Hello, I'm Lesley and I live in Scotland. I make art dolls too, from cloth. Even though I don't intentionally make them to be creepy or gothic, lots of people describe them that way. I must admit that I do love burlesque and circus and victoriana, and that must come accross in some of my designs!

Apart from making dolls, I love spending time with my dog (Ruby - the love of my life!), shopping for crafty bits and pieces, and drawing. One day I'd like to open an Etsy shop for my art, but I'm still practicing...

I'll really look forward to meeting everyone else in the team and reading about them here!

Hi everyone! My name is Leslie, I share the librastyle shop with my boyfriend Nillo. we live in Italy !! Nillo is the designer and I help with my neverending ideas !! We love working together in this t shirt project !!! for us everything is an inspiration, but our lifestyle is rock, goth, victorian and vintage! everything from the past is so magic...and modern as well!!

We have one dog, Sparky and 2 cats, Willy and Wonka!! I am a dancer and Nillo plays guitar!! we live in the countryside but in the weekend we really like to go out until morning: that helps to relax!!!

Hi Amber, love your steampunk craft. I find steampunk is so hard because the bar is set really high, things have to look real and authentic. I love that about steampunk, people really admire effort.

Hi! My name is Stephanie and I live in NE Florida, USA. I enjoy doing just about everything related to art.....drawing, painting, lampwork bead making, jewelry making, sewing...and the list goes on and on.... Lately I have been inspired by tattoos and images of Day of the Dead....my inspirations are constantly changing as does my art medium.
I am a mom of 4 (age 17 to 7), a navy wife, and currently a retail manager. My dream is to be able to work from home full time through Etsy and I am learning more and more each day to work toward this goal. Any critiques would be greatly appreciated since I am just getting started on here.
I am really excited to get involved with this team and I hope that I can make a contribution to the group.

Hi Stephanie - I absolutely love your sugar skull drawings, the disney princesses are a fantastic idea! Have you ever seen those anywhere else, if you're the first you could really run with that concept. Do you have photoshop? If you could scan in those pictures, colour them digitally and sell them as downloads I think you'd do amazingly well. You've got such a lot of talent there.

Hi Nancy - I love your lace work, especially the lace eagle! That's incredibly my style, I've seen some lace work out there but the fact it's a recognisable object rather than a lace pattern makes it really stand out! Also your fake fur infinity scarf is really good for vintage lovers, it could be dressed down with jeans for rockabilly or dressed up with a wiggle suit and pill box hat for a classic Marylin style 50s.

I've added both your shops to my favourites and really look forward to seeing what you do.

Wow, what a friendly team. I just popped on here to write an intro and noticed the above welcome. Thanks for your kind words!

I'm a high school computer graphics teacher and I spend most of my non-teaching time sewing. I live near Boston, MA and share a happy home with my husband, pug, and siamese cat. I've also been a roller derby skater for almost 5 years, and I run a collaborative group quilting project called the Roller Derby Quilt, which can be seen at www.rollerderbyquilt.com.

My Etsy shop is all about scarves right now, but I make a lot of my own clothes and plan to branch out once I'm comfortable enough with other types of clothes/accessories to sell them to the general public. I'm a huge button nerd and have to resist putting them on everything. The same goes for ruffles and stripes.

I'm psyched to be part of this group and I look forward to joining in the discussions and such.
