Weebly vs Goodsie vs Other

Hey Gang!

I am in the process of researching various platforms to host my site. I want to launch it in time for the unveiling of my Spring Collection in March.

At the moment, it looks like Weebly and Goodsie are the front runners, but I am curious for any and all input people have on what is a good site for hosting?

I do not have programming experience, so cannot build my own. But I am pretty decent with playing around with templates and customization. The idea of having to do a lot of customization doesn't scare me at all. I'm ready for whatever work I have to do.

So, I am not looking for the easiest to build, just the best for my needs (such as the ability to have multiple images within one listing).

And you can give me the benefits of the paid membership deals, since that is what I would be choosing.

Thanks, everyone!

Not to overly complicate your life, BUT... You might want to look at blogging tools like WordPress and content management systems like Drupal and Joomla.

Big Cartel is also good. They are simple to set up if, even if you don't have much customization experience. I like the clean look of their basic template. And their paid plans are very reasonably priced.

FYI, content management sites like wordpress, drupal, and joomla are great for making full fledged sites! Wordpress, I find is much more user friendly to set up, but they are all really easy to use once you have a good template installed. There are some advantages to using a fully loaded content management system, such as the ability to add plugins, which you can't really do with BigCartel, Weebly, or Goodsie. You will need a shopping cart plugin or template to use if you are going to sell on any of these sites. More work, but more flexibility.

I use weebly. I started out with the free website but then moved to the pro and paid for it. I love weebly! It is sooo easy to use. I know nothing about creating web pages and I created and sold from my .com website.

Weebly is great!

I used Weebly for mine, too - loved it. I have zero HTML experience or knowledge, and it was so easy to set up.

Re: Weebly vs Goodsie vs Other

Ok, may be a silly question, but, since I have never had my own site, I have to ask.

I am assuming that you would set up your shipping profiles via paypal (or whatever payment methods you choose to take)? And that paypal would not let a buyer from a country not listed in that profile?
