Craft show help please!!

Hello everyone!

I'm going to be doing my very first craft show on May 8th and was wondering if anyone had any hints and tips for me. I will have a 10 x 10 space. I basically have a 6ft table right now.... thinking of making some table top shelves....what else? Another table? Etc..... Please help me!
Thanks!!

Malissa

Cute shop!!

Maybe think of using tiers......especially to display your bouquets. Normal everyday boxes covered with a nice cloth will work.
I had my mother in law sew me some table covers out of black satin. Super cheap yet super chic!!
Good luck!

Re: Craft show help please!!

with that much space I would consider another table or at least something else to use up the space efficiently.

We sometimes use a card table next to the long table. Anything will work.

since you have a lot of flat items, the tier idea is a great one! you want to have dimension on the table instead of everything flat. Even just some decorations around the table to give some differing height would work too

Any other ideas anyone??

You might think about hanging the blankeys and/or pouches, using clip hangers. People seem to like to look through hanging items.

Re: Craft show help please!!

dont forget to have the prices predominately shown. People like being able to see prices instead of having to ask

Re: Craft show help please!!

I was at a show this weekend and saw people using baby dolls at display their items. May go to your local second hand show and see if can find some second hand baby dolls to use to display your bibs and hats and such.
If you do this I would put a display not including on the tag somewhere. You never know.
But their booth looked really cute.

Maybe even put like a diaper in your bags so people know what they are for. I don't have kids so sometimes I don't know what I am looking at when I am looking at baby stuff.
But I have friends that have kids and sometimes I will pick them gifts up if I see something cute that would make their lives a little easier.

Re: Craft show help please!!

Do you have any consignment furniture shops near you? Or how about Salvation Army/Goodwill? I know the stores like that near me have a half off day once a week too.

One more quick thought- craigslist

Re: Craft show help please!!

The baby doll cradle, if for display purposes only, can be brought in your local Walmart Toy Dept quite cheaply. Or you can try a consignment shop, Goodwill, Salvation Army, Thrift Shop etc...
I'm not sure about the wicker shelves; but I use the stackable white "under sink/cabinet" shelves also purchased from Walmart and they're really light, sturdy, and cheap! You can stack them, mount them, wrap them, decorate them, stagger them, and pretty much do whatever to them that you want, and they transport really easily. Also the price placards for my items always attach to them really easily as well.

Hope that helps!

Re: Craft show help please!!

Just an idea for getting the craddle and maybe some other larger props: check to see if their is a baby and child supply resale/rental store. We have alot of grandparents in my area and there are a couple of stores that rent out baby stuff for visiting grandkids. Then you don't necessarily have to buy and store your displays.
