I've been on Etsy for quite a while, but before a couple weeks ago I hadn't really tried to sell anything other than the one time I listed 2 items which never sold (I think it might have been price, but can't be sure). So when I decided I wanted to really put forth effort into really making Etsy a business for me instead of just a way of keeping track of everything on here I love I changed my shop name to something I feel will be more memorable and more professional sounding, created prototypes of my necklaces, posted the best photo's I could take of them and have had a couple views but not nearly as many as I would have hoped. I am creating and posting new necklaces as often as I can but soon I'll need to wait for new supplies to arrive to create more.
So far I've sold two, just not in my shop. My supervisor at my part-time job bought one from me when I showed her what I made, and the other a friend saw on facebook one I made for the sister of someone I was dating as a gift and requested I make one at full price for him. I have a facebook for this business ( www.facebook.com/C.May01 ) as well as a twitter and a pinterest. I did notice right after I made all the pins on pinterest and then shared to twitter that I got a spike in views but still no sales. (Although a customer from my part-time job wants to buy at least 1 from me as well). I can't afford to go to craft fairs and the like, so any help would be very welcome.
