Pricing

Hi all,

I am having problems getting the price right on my items for sale. I am getting at lease between 5 and 20 views a day but no sales. One team i am in said the reason I am not getting any sales is my prices are to low so I put them but then another team said that they are now too high and i should put them back.
I am so confused and don't know what to do for the best. Does anyone have any answers
thank you

Re: Pricing

Maybe go with the middle ground between the two extremes? If one team told you your prices were too low, and another told you your prices were too high that seems like it would be the logical thing to do.

Re: Pricing

The other question I have is how do you know when your prices are too low?

Re: Pricing

I dont know, its all very confusing. I was told that it should the cost of materials times 3 but to me that was too high.

I have look around at things similar to what i have knitted and price them around that

Re: Pricing

I think as long as the prices are fair to you, it's okay. :) There will always be people who will think they are too high and they just want to find a "deal," the same way that there are people that will recognize the quality and be okay with the pricing. :)
I think maybe the pictures could be a little brighter in order to catch buyer's attention?
Best of luck selling!

Re: Pricing

Set the price where you feel comfortable based on materials and the time it took to create it. Other people (usually) don't have a clue as to the amount of time and personal creativity you've devoted to a particular item. Stress the handmade or custom made aspect of the piece. Your items are fantastic and they will find a new home!

You could also try posting pictures of the knitted items being modeled on a youngster. It ads a personal "My kid would look adorable in that" dimension to your shop.
