Introducing ME! and looking for advice...

Hey! I just wanted to say hey to everyone. I am new to Etsy, and just today started setting up my shop with a few of my items. I am a high school math teacher near Greensboro, NC. Since I am a teacher, I will probably not be able to put in the necessary time to really get going until the end of May. But I figured I could get started and see what happens.
I would love any advice about Etsy, my shop, or ways to sell items even outside Etsy. Plus I would just love to meet other people!

Welcome to the Team. I'm fairly new to Etsy myself. I have found the threads for the Etsy Success team to be helpful. They have a lot of advice on getting going and limit themselves to advice, not promotions. The Seller's Handbook, long though it may be, also has helpful tips.

Lots of respect to the math teachers out there. To all teachers, really.

Keep asking questions. I, personally, have very few answers. I'm only one month old on Etsy, but i have found the community here to be AMAZINGLY kind and generous with advice.

Search the forums for advice. If you have a question, someone else had it too and probably asked about it.

I also have learned much through browsing around. Try all the buttons, make a treasury, buy something from another shop, stare at the recently listed item feed for a while, heart some items, convo someone, etc.

Just make sure all the tests are graded first. And try to be generous with the partial credit when grading!

So here is a question: What exactly is the purpose of a treasury? Like I kinda get the idea I think....maybe lol Or maybe not..
