Tulsi, Vana: (Ocimum gratissimum) aka Holy Basil, Sacred Basil // Perennial in frost free zones - in temperate north, grow as an annual or bring indoors for the winter.
The original wild type of Tulsi that is very high in eugenol and also is known as the "forest type." It is green leaved with white blossoms, highly aromatic and grows taller than other varieties -- can grow to 4 feet in frost free zones or if over-wintered.
