Input please?

I've been keeping an eye on the whole heartsy happenings and have loved some of the deals I've seen come across. I've been toying with the idea of submitting my shop, but don't know if it would work since I do *mostly* patterns.

I'm considering a couple of scenarios - first would be create more listings for finished items. I have some listed separately, but most of the time I just add a blurb at the end of my pattern listings that a finished hat (or whatever) is available, just convo me, blah blah blah.

The other idea - and I'm not sure this would be worth it?? - would be to offer 50-60% off my patterns for the deal. In that case, I'd maybe deactivate my finished items listings for the 'deal day' and just sell the patterns.

Or do you think it would work to have both patterns and finished items available for the deal?? I know crocheted hats have been featured and the seller did well; I guess I'm just wondering about patterns...

Any feedback??

I think patterns would do well. Lots of. Fellow etsiers buy the deal. I would see them buying patterns. I think the more stuff u have available the better!

Re: Input please?

If you can keep up with the demand on the finished items, I would do both, definitely. Patterns can be a big seller, and it's something you can sell over and over and over again, so I say go for it!

Re: Input please?

I'm with Pretty and think that patterns would do well. Easy and quick to "ship" out, plus I would imagine there is profit there even with the discounted voucher.

Re: Input please?

Thanks for the responses, I had kind of given up. :-)

Patterns would be super easy for something like this as far as volume (obviously!) And since I wouldn't get dinged from paypal for each $2.00 pattern sale, it would still be okay as far as I'm concerned.

I'm wondering about the amount of the vouchers though - I mean, if I did say a $10 for a $20 voucher, that's 5 patterns they could get for $10. I guess I'm just unsure whether someone would want to buy 5 patterns all at once, you know? (Although I guess they really wouldn't have to buy them all at once...)

Maybe I'll just submit and see what happens. Doesn't hurt to try, right? :)
