Hearsy experience not going so well :(

I have submitted my shop 4 times now. The first 3 times i did not et enough votes. I did get enough on my 4th try.

Then i received 4 emails informing me that all of my submissions had received enough votes.

I was a little perplexed after that, and sort of worried that i might be on the hook for all of them.

Well, those fears were short lived.... as i received more emails telling me that Hearsy had reviewed my submissions and decided that they didn't want to feature my shop. (even the time i did get enough votes)

One of their reasons is that they look for diversity.

I suscribe to hearsy, and i have purchased a number of offers.

Day after day i see the same sorts of submissions. The same kinds of bath products, the same kind of jewelry.

I think my jewelry is much different than the usual that is featured, so i'm not sure i understand the diversity line.

Just frustrated i guess. I have been on etsy for close to 2 months now. I feel like i am spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. :(

I wouldn't be too upset about it. Heartsy is great exposure, but it's also a big cut in profits. Your jewelry is gorgeous, I say just keep getting your stuff out there through craft shows, social networking sites, teams, etc. I'm sure you'll do well! Sometimes it takes a little time to really get noticed on Etsy.

I feel like i am just doing so much and it hasnt amounted to anything. I'll just keep on doing my thing! I have submitted it again, so maybe it will work out this time.

great advice mountain. Ive tried 2 times with this shop and keep getting the same email. They dont seem to appreciate custom , personalized work, nore prints. Trying with my other shop (supplies) and will see if that works out. Thing is, im actually happy I didnt get through with this shop because taking a cut of over 50% and the amount of work invested in what I do, wouldn't be worth it. :)

Sorry to hear that! Frustrating. I signed up for a different email / promotion quite Quite Unique that was posted here in one of the disccussion threads. Wonder if anyone has had much luck with them? Maybe they would be another avenue for you to try islandgirl

Just frustrates me that they told me they look for a variety of items. And yet today when i received my heartsy deals of the day... it was more of the same. bath and body (which i love!) and stamped jewelry. Which is great, don't get me wrong. But nothing different from yesterdays deals... or the day before

There's been a couple of people on the team who have done Quite Unique with moderate success, I think. They has some sales but I don't think that QU has gotten the customer base that Heartsy has, but I'm sure as time goes on and they continue to add new folks to their database it will mean more sales. If you search Quite Unique in this team, you'll see some of the threads. Chris from QU is also a member of this team and has been very responsive when folks have had questions.

Keep trying though!
