Shop Critique and Possible name change

Since what I sell is in a specific niche I am looking for help. I would like some constructive criticism on my shop, listings, prices etc.. I also am seriously thinking about changing my name as people find it hard to pronounce and once I explain its Harry potter reference they seem to shy away from it, I learned this at a craft fair so I know that is a little different but I assume it is a similar issue online as well. So any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Re: Shop Critique and Possible name change

Hey Natasha ;)
I"m new to the team and I noticed you did not get a response to your shop critique...I hope you still want one lol Here goes:

Name change: I see your point here. I completely get your name because I am a huge HP fan (and love it btw), but I can see how it could be confusing for customers-hard to say and spell. I don't think people would be able to find your shop well on their own. So if you decide to change it, I think it would be a good idea.

I love your banner! My fave HP quote!

I would suggest changing the "about" section on your shop page. You can still keep your bio, but you should start out with a line that describes what you sell if you would like to get more search engine hits from outside of Etsy. I just learned this from an Etsy pro not tool long ago and after changing just a few words around my se hits have doubled. We are not talking huge numbers but hey, every one counts lol You want to use terms an average person would put in on say, google. I would suggest something like:
High Heels, Toms, Custom Shoes, Scarves, Tie Dye, Tote Bags, Harry Potter apparel.....you get the picture lol

I would suggest re-doing all of your pics. A plain, white background with good lighting should work. Can you recruit some good looking friends to model for you? I think your scarves would sell much better if people could see them on a model. The tie dye one is so gorgeous! Is that you in your avatar pic? That pic is so good and if it's you, you're beautiful! You should set up a tri-pod and model your own scarves! Updated pics will make a big difference.

I can't really advise on pricing because I'm not sure how much custom shoes sell for......sorry! Btw, I absolutely adore you HP heels! If I didn't stay in sweat pants all day I would def. get a pair!

I think your tags also need updated. Try to use pharases rather than single words and make sure you use all 13 tags! And I would not tag your shop name-they can look your shop up by name if they have it without the item being tagged. To me it's a waste of a tag. Take your Harry Potter Shoes...I would suggest the following (some you already are using):
High Heel Shoes
Black Shoes
White Shoes
Black Heels
White Heels
Harry Potter
Harry Potter SHOES (you have HEELS but when I checked search engines, Harry Potter Shoes came up which means people are searching this way rather than heels)
Custom Shoes
High Heels
Harry Potter Toms
Harry Potter Clothing
Geek Chic
Geek Clothing
Womens Handmade Shoes
Handmade Shoes
Harry Potter Art
Harry Potter Accessories
Womens Shoes
Wedding Shoes (Hey, I would wear them under my dress! lol )

I hope this helps you! Good luck with everything!!! <3

Re: Shop Critique and Possible name change

That's great advice. Perhaps I could get some for my store (which is a bit barren at the moment)?

Natasha, what is your shop name, if it's still here?
